ABOUT EPILOGUE PEOPLE & TALENT PARTNERS

What makes us different?

Epilogue People and Talent Partners exists to support growing organizations at pivotal moments. Whether a company is building its people function for the first time or evolving an existing one, Epilogue provides experienced and results oriented partnership.

Not every organization needs a large and dedicated HR team or can afford one. Many need trusted guidance, practical support, and strategic thinking that meets them where they are. Epilogue partners with leaders and HR teams to do the work that fuels business results, without losing sight of the people behind them.

The work is thoughtful and pragmatic. Strategy and execution go hand in hand. People & Processes are designed to support growth, performance, and organizational culture while remaining flexible, human, and realistic.

At its core, Epilogue is about helping organizations grow well. With clarity. With care. And with people decisions that stand the test of time.

About our founder

Sheri Thorburn has spent more than two decades inside the realities of HR, recruiting, and talent leadership from start-ups to established organizations. She has been the internal partner, the strategist, the builder, and the one navigating hard decisions during periods of change.

Over the years, Sheri worked alongside exceptional leaders who were building ambitious businesses, often with limited people infrastructure. She saw junior HR teams stretched thin, leaders making critical people decisions without enough support, and the impact this had on both performance and culture.

Sheri’s approach to people leadership has been shaped by experience, empathy, and results. In 2022, her work was recognized when she was named HR Leader of the Year by the WorkLife Awards, an honor that celebrates standout cultures and forward-thinking employer practices.

Sheri knows firsthand that high-performing talent is critical to any organization, regardless of size. A company’s story has always been, and will always be about its people. The best brand, the most advanced tools, or the latest technology mean little without the engine behind them: the people.

Epilogue People and Talent Partners was founded on that belief. Sheri brings deep experience, a steady perspective, and a human-centered approach to helping organizations make Human Resources decisions that are intentional, compliant, and thoughtful, ensuring teams are positioned to drive meaningful, sustainable results.
